I'm catching some concerns from Digital system security folks about the perceived requirement for our operators to be in the Domain Admin global group. This could cause problems as they could then access our Exchange servers, etc.. From reading the installation manaual, it seems that we could add the operators to each system to be backed up's Backup Operators local group. Is this an OK work around?

A local account with Backup Operator priv can run networker, as the documentation states. Was that your question? | |||||

I guess I'm just checking out my solution. I was going to use a DIGITAL1 domain account (or a global group) and enter it into the local Backup Operator group. |
