An important Digital customer had a lot of problems with NSR, those problems being corrected by patch. He would know when Digital will let available those patchs through the network via Netscape, so that the customer can know the current problem about a version and be preventive. Those README patches could be available through an http adress or via DSNlink. What is the politic about that? I personally think there is no reason we must mask to the client the patchs for a specific NSR version, and it should avoid a lot of problems . Thanks for your answer Gilles.

The problem is getting access to a node outside Digital's firewall and being able to post things to it under our (NetWorker engineering) control. Admittedly, Digital is falling way way behind other companies in this regard. Mark

Is it planned to the future that customer can access NSR patchs I think it is a very important question, when you know that some patch corrupt databases Gilles.

I've been trying to determine how to make our patches and other information, available in a browseable form via one of the MCS sites. However, I haven't been able to figure out how to do this yet. We want to do this, but don't know how, yet. Wes |
