351.0. "nsrexecd: select error: no such process" by BACHUS::DIDDEN () Mon Jan 27 1997 07:32

Does anybody have a idea what might be happening on this client:

The client is a NT v4.0 box with NetWorker client 4.2.1 on it,
backups have been taken daily of this system and then last weekend
something went wrong and the clients daemon.log file got filled up
    with:

nsrexecd: select error: no such process

the logging continued until the disk was full.

    Any idea ?????

get them to upgrade to 4.3 and apply any patches from
Legato that are relevant (4.2.1 is an intel release
number, so I assume you are using intel).

The reported error is an rpc problem. Check
that one of the NetWorker processes on the
server didn't core, the server didn't crash,
that the network continuity is not
being interrupted. Also check for any other
messages in the logging files on the client and
server occuring about the time the select error
started.
