333.2Problem with patch 4.3-004 setupNETCAD::STEFANIFDDI Adapters R UsWed May 28 1997 06:4225
Hi,

I have a similar configuration to .0, but a different problem.

I'm running Legato Networker NT Client v4.3 with Intergraph's DiskShare v3.0
product on an Intel-based Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 2 Server.

The Networker client was already installed and operating fine (i.e. backups
were working). The DiskShare installation went smooth, but when the system was
rebooted, it blue screened on RPCXDR.SYS. After calling Intergraph's tech
support, they pointed to Legato's port mapper as the source of the problem.

I found and installed patch 4.3-004 as described on the Legato tech support WWW
page. Per those instructions, I deleted the Networker port map service from the
Registry. Now, it appears that DiskShare is working great, its port mapper is
running, but the server is no longer being backed up. The Winworker user and
administrator apps can see the backup server just fine, but I'm getting
notifications of backup failure.

Questions: Has anyone had experience installing patch 4.3-004 using a setup
similar to that stated in the patch description? If so, did you need to change
any of the installation steps?

Thanks,
   Larry
