This is being worked as ipmt CFS.48260

nsrindexd: session start failed for <clientname> error 1004

The error message indicates that the Networker indexing system
    is begginning to get overloaded...
looks like its overload due overlapping savegroups, cross-checking
is from a previous savegroup is running while a current savegroup
    is running.

possible fix is reduce overlap, and/or reduce parallelism.

I am also getting many of the 1004 errors. I have 135 clients and
had 100 errors last night. Is this a problem. Are things being
    processed correctly inside of NSR?

    	Any info would be desired.

This error is really just a warning that indicates that a client
process is being required to wait longer than it would like.
To try to reduce the number of these messages that you get
you can follow some of the suggestions in .2. The first thing
to check is whether you have savegroups who's run times are overlapping.
If so try to minimize this as much as possible. You can then try
to reduce parrallelism. If neither of these work, then I'd just
ignore these messages.

I think V4.2A patch 9 (or jumbo patch 14) may help.

Get it from the ftp site (ftp.zso.dec.com/pub/networker/patches)
