116.1 | 16384 is not good for unix v4.0b | RHETT::LOH | Wed Mar 26 1997 10:41 | 13 | |
FYI... A customer had been using 16384 on UNIX v3.2g systems, and he didn't have any problem. But after he upgraded from v3.2g to v4.0b, the NSR performance were downgraded drastically. The performance problem only happens when NSR server is backing up itself. There is no problem with backing up remote clients. After he changed the MTU value from 16384 to 15000, NSR then behaves normally. Lannie |
