I have a customer that has a product called NET3270 (by McGill) and when running under win95 (with just our pw32 license bits installed) they get: PNLT32 AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED IGNORE RETRY FAIL Selecting anything then causes the pc to lockup, or blank screen with the cursor, or sometimes it will continue but keep getting the error. If you try to do an END TASK on the PNLT32 you get NOT RESPONDING messages. They have installed the old pathworks 1.0a license bits and they work fine with this 3270 emulator and they have file/print access. Will the new license bits in 7.0a (when available) possibly help, are these the same components that are in the FPA kit now available? Thanks, Jerry

> Will the new license bits in 7.0a (when available) possibly help, Yes. The V7.0 version had a problem where PNLT would crash if a License Registrar sent it a request containing less than 4 bytes (not a valid request, indicating that there is also a server-side problem). This is fixed for PW32 V7.0A, and the V1.4 licensing kit. The short packet will be logged as a "bad encryption" error rather than causing a crash. > are these the same components that are in the FPA kit now available? Almost. PW32 V7.0A will have one or two minor fixes that are not in the V1.4 licensing kit. |
