327.0. "PW32 Hangs NT 4.0 on SMP machine" by ALFSS2::OLSEN_G (Real Men Go Wireless!) Fri May 30 1997 15:14
Hi,
I have a customer with 6 machines in a domain - 3 NT 4.0 SP3 and 3 PW v5.OE
ECO1. One NT is the PDC, the other 5 are all BDCs. All NT machines are
Prioris 6200 Dual Processor machines. After installing PW32, the 3 NT
servers intermittantly hang. They are using the 21142 built in DE500.
Remove PW32 and the problem goes away.
I had another issue like this one only with an alpha- they upgraded the
firmware and fixed the problem. He is at the current rev of the bios.
He's sending me an event log - all he said was there were a bunch of
errors to some library.
Any ideas?
Gary

There is an issue in v7.0 that causes some problems (fixed in v7.0a on all
machines tested).
"errors in some library" is interesting.
