I have a testbed PC running Windows '95 V4.0b that has 3 NICs... Fast
Ethernet, Slow Ethernet, and FDDI. I assume I tell Pathworks-32 which
interface I want to use by going into the Control Panel/Network and
add/delete the appropriate Pathworks device. Correct?
My problem comes down to a basic question first... can I have more than
one active interface? I'd like to use the FE and SE interfaces if
possible.
NCP is only allowing me to have an ETHER-1. I've tried creating an
ETHER-2 to no avail. How do I know which of the Ethernet interfaces is
going to be ETHER-1? I've removed two of the three PATHWORKS
interfaces and still have no connectivity to the router.
Lastly, DOTI (DECnet Over TCP/IP). I looked for the DECITOT.INF file
in the PW32 directory (then scanned the whole disk). I don't seem to
have it. I thought I selected it, if asked, during the install. What
needs to be done to make this work?
Thanks!
David

As this is a stand-alone system, I disabled the License Manager as I
don't have any licenses. Could this be a problem too?
Thanks!

PATHWORKS 32 v7.0: 1) Does not support multiple network adapters 2) Does not contain DECnet over TCP/IP due to last minute problems. PATHWORKS 32 v7.0a: 1) Does not support multiple network adapters 2) Supports DECnet over TCP/IP. Jeff

Jeff,
Thanks for the clarification. I've got it working by only having
one interface added to Pathworks in the Network Control Panel. If I
should choose to have Pathworks run over the FDDI interface, will it
work? I presume it would still use circuit ETHER-1. Correct?
Thanks!

PATHWORKS 32 will work over FDDI, if and only if the FDDI network adapter looks like an Ethernet network adapter (to NDIS). If not, PATHWORKS 32 will not work... as specified in the release notes. Jeff
