hello. Does the Win95 pathworks32 client can access and use the Pathworks File share under WAN environment ? (When there is no Pathworks Server on the local LAN) (customer Environment) +------------------+ | OpenVMS/Alpha | Pathworks v5.0D(File Share) +------------------+ (DECnet,NetBEUI,Woolongong TCPIP) | FDDI |=======================================| | +---------------+ | WANrouter | +---------------+ | Ethernet |=======================================| | +---------+ | Win95 | Pathworks32 client(DECnet,NETBEUI,MS TCP/IP) +---------+(No Pathworks server on the LAN) I failed to access the file share through the Router. sure. If the WANrouter's passing IP, you may need to use the LMHOSTS file or a WINS server to define the address to use for your server's NetBIOS name(s). If it's passing DECnet, you may need to use the NCP DEFINE NODE and perhaps DEFINE REMOTE ADAPTOR NAME commands. |
