174.0. "Async DDCMP" by DEKVC::KEESANGLEE () Thu Mar 20 1997 04:29

Hello.

My customer have to use Async pathworks on Win95 Environment.
They wait for a long time for the async suport of DECnet on Win95.
They are using leased-line(not Using MODEM).
I read the Release Notes and topic 38, but not clear for me
that the pathworks 32 support leased line DDCMP on Win95.

Hope your clear commitment for the configuration.
Please let me know how can i setup the Pathworks 32 DDCMP
    (detail if possible).

Thanks for your help in advance.

Now on the technical side of things, nobody has tested DDCMP over a
leased-line with Windows 95 as far as I know. It may well work provided
Windows 95 standard Dial-Up Networking can be made to work. To achieve
that, I suggest you give a look at:
http://www.vt.edu:10021/K/kewells/net/
which explains how to make a null-modem PPP connection with Windows 95.
It should work similarly with DDCMP. Note that this null-modem .INF
file is provided neither by Digital, nor by Microsoft, use at your own
risk.

Keesanglee,

Could you post this information here please, or mail it to me
directly as we are trying to do something very similar.

Thanks in advance....
