Client = WNT 4.0 & PW32 If client presents PWLMXXXFP05.00, to 5.0E server, net session shows client connected once. If client presents PWLMWNTCC04.01 to 5.0E server, net session shows same client connected twice. With 2nd connection user field blank. Is this expected behavior? My conclusion is to not to use PWLMWNTCC04.01 with PW32 client although customer may want to if they are available... Thanks Ed

FYI - no reply necessary... My domain controller is a VAX running PATHWORKS 5.0E its role is PRIMARY. I set the workgroup name on my WNT 4.0 PW32 machine to be the same name as the domain name. That is what appears to be the problem for me. Since I changed the workgroup to DIGITALWSLKG1 I no longer get the extra "phantom" session (confirmed by net session command). thanks Ed | |||||
