159.0. "vt320 exception error" by VMSNET::KINSER_J () Thu Mar 13 1997 10:09
Hi,
I have a report from a customer that I wanted to run by you here before
I did an ipmt on it just in case you know of the problem.
He upgraded his win95 machine from 1.0a to 7.0 of pathworks 32
He installed only vt320, print service, and license agent.
(no lat or decnet)
Whenever he starts up vt320 it reacts one of 2 ways.
1. It gives him the front screen briefly and then goes away.
At this time if he does ctrl-alt-del it shows him there is a vt320
that is not responding. If he starts another session of vt320 it starts
just fine.
2. It gives him the following exception message:
Exception 0e at 0028:c101d4aa in VXD VNBT (01) +0000d4e6
called from
0028:c0ff3062 in VXD VTDI (01) +000000BA
Things I have tried:
1. Totally removed pathworks32 and deleted all the files that we could
from the pw32 directory and reistalled.
2. Deleted the vt320.ini. Rebooted. Started vt320 and it started fine.
He chose network and telnet and saved the vt320.ini. Restarted just
fine. Then we shutdown and rebooted. Started vt320 and got the
exception error.
3. Copied the vt320.ini from the 3 other identical machines each
running pathworks32 just fine. This still got the exception error.
4. Tried to duplicate on my machine and it works just fine.
Can you think of anything else to try?
