Insert the PATHWORKS 32 7.0 CD into my system, get the pretty autoplay screen. All the functions work except for "What's New?" which gives me an alert box: ^ /!\ APL2001: Unable to locate command for this option. Please /___\ report the problem to customer support. As far as I can tell, since "Release Notes" works and autorun.inf has the same command for both pwreadme.txt and whatsnew.txt, they should both work, right? Any ideas why "Release Notes" works but "What's New?" does not? -Steven

Aahh, I think I see... I should be looking at kit.ini instead of autorun.inf, right? KIT.INI has different entries for pwreadme.txt and whatsnew.txt Kit6=NOTEPAD.EXE {RUNPATH}\pwreadme.txt Kit7=SHELL {RUNPATH}\whatsnew.txt Is this as it should be, or is KIT.INI wrong? nb - I can double-click on any .txt file, including pwreadme.txt and whatsnew.txt, and get it in my text editor (which is not notepad). Is the SHELL command not doing the right thing, I wonder? Is it supposed to use the same associations that Explorer uses? -Steven (all on NT4 Workstation here, btw)

Supposed to... but then some NT v4.0 systems don't seem to allow a launch of the proper executable for a text file from a 16 bit application. File a QAR to have the kit7 line changed.... Jeff
