Hi, Before answering my customer I want to be sure about the correct answer. Remote Windows 95 PC connected by telephone line to NT 4.0 RAS port (Digiboard). There is also VMS machine (no TCP/IP) in the LAN near the NT RAS server. The customer needs to open VT320 or NFT session from the remote PC to VMS. I am not sure if PATHWORKS 32 installed on remote PC and on NT RAS server meets his requirements ? Does NT server can acts as DECnet gateway between dial-up and Ethernet ? With PPP option or DDCMP ? Regards, Jarek Parlinski, Warsaw

Jarek Nope. The NT server cannot act as a "DECnet gateway". You'd need to dial in a DECnet router or a VAX with DDCMP. The simplest solution would most likely be to install TCP/IP on the VMS system though. Vincent |
