has security been implemented on this first release of PW32 when installed on an NT workstation or server? I can define user names and passwords, but a dir of MYPC:: from a VAX gives me the contents of my SYSTEM32 directory. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong... I found the problem: I had mistakenly tried to install the older version of PW 4.1, and some of the older components were causing problems. However, I still have a security-related question: Is it possible to setup file level security? The audit log shows that all of the file accesses are being made by "SYSTEM" with no carryover of the actual user who requested the data (impersonization). So, basically, there's no way to map incoming usernames/passwords to local NT Accounts (which could be granted access on a per object basis), correct? Thanks, Skip [email protected] DTN: 244-6869 |
