97.0. "Fun With PWLog" by VMSNET::S_VORE (Smile - Mickey's Watching!) Mon Jan 27 1997 14:09

Is it just me, or do these timestamps strike you as a little odd too?

  13:56:45    LOG0002N:     Start Logging at 13:56:45, on Monday January 27, 1997

If it seems wrong, or the documentation inadequately explains it and
it's actually right, please make sure you qar it.

I guess that's what Im asking... is there something reasonable
that should have timestamps of 13:56:45 before timestamps of
13:56:04 -- something I've missed in the documentation/release
notes -- or should this be a QAR?

-Steven who's about to QAR it anyway, just in case.

    It is reasonable if the sort order is changed... by selecting the time
    field button.

    See if that fixes it for you. Also, if the time was changed by a
    program, it would display oddities (I have one that sync the time from
    a well known server.. as the clock sometimes hosed on the machine.

Well, when I select the Time button, which I would expect to put them in order by
time, I get this:

  16:51:33    LOG0002N:     Start Logging at 16:51:33, on Monday January 27, 1997
  16:51:33    LOG0015N:     Message Logger Service  (PWLOGSVC)  V1.0.000
  16:51:33    LOG0011N:     NT Version 4.0,  Build (1381)
  16:51:33    LOG0012N:     Hardware Platform: Intel 486  (305),  Processor(s): 1
  16:50:48    CORE0001S:    DECCORE Version 1.0.4
  16:50:48    CORE0002S:    Copyright (c) 1995,1997 Digital Equipment Corporation
  16:50:49    IOCB0006N:    DECIOCB Installed successfully
  16:51:27 PNLS0001S: DEC LAN Manager Licensing Agent (PNLSRV32.EXE) Version V7.0.054
  16:51:27    PNLS0002S:    Copyright (c) 1993-1996 Digital Equipment Corporation
  16:51:31 PNLT0001S: DEC LAN Manager License Transponder (PNLT32.EXE) Version V7.0.054
  16:51:31    PNLT0002S:    Copyright (c) 1993-1996 Digital Equipment Corporation

I don't believe I've got anything that would be changing the time -- nothing I've
installed or configured.

97.5same thing here...VMSNET::DMCFARLANDstill TurboMom[tm]...Fri Jan 31 1997 14:565
    same thing happening here on my wnt 4.0 wksta. the 4 entries
    beginning LOG00xxx all appear first in the PWLOG, although their
    time stamp is LATER than most of the entries that follow...
