In looking up a person's DTN using the web elf. I ran into a problem with the display. This person has a defined picture, but the picture overwrote several sectons of the display information. Is it possible to get the Web page to not display this without the picture so that I can get the DTN of this person???

Turn off image loading in your browser? Just a thought, Roy

Or, since you've already got the document, you can use View -> Document Source (in Netscape, I know MSIE has an equivalent) to read the DTN. I thought the HTML protocol generally prevented this type of problem - by arranging the objects on the page as needed. You might suggest to the person that they look themselves up in ELF to see the problem and then use a smaller picture.

RE: .1 Turning off auto image load didn't fix it; the image still got loaded. RE: .2 I can look at the source. I will tell the person too look up thier own image to see the problem. >I thought the HTML protocol generally prevented this type >of problem - by arranging the objects on the page as needed. In looking at the HTML source; ELF might be better suited to change their HTML code to allow for a bigger picture as in the case of this person... |
