Did someone already use the generic proxy to pass netbios through the firewall. I tried it but it doesn't work. I setup the proxy in both directions between the client and server system for TCP port 139. When the client tries to connect the network drive, the proxy is used but the netbios connection fails. In the logfile I find "connection terminated by server". Is this supposed to work ? Guido

I haven't tried it but does NBT talk back on random port numbers? If so I don't think you can use the generic relay. Stuart |
