I implemented a standard telnet access to a AVFU v2.0 as described
in the firewall application notes. Instead of authlogin as suggested
I use csh. ( I am aware of the security risks )
I can telnet to the firewall system without any problems till I make
a change for gxd with AVFU Gui.
The next telnet access returns with the following error message:
telnet fw 1555
Trying 153.10.1.1...
Connected to fw.test.debis.de
Escape character is '^]'.
Digital UNIX (fw.test.debis.de) (ttyp2)
login: root
login: -h for super-user only.
Connection closed by foreign host.
To get telnet working again I have to kill "inetd" and start it manually
again.
I don't have to touch /etc/inetd.conf, the necessary telnet entry in
inetd.conf is still there, thats not the problem (I made the changes
in dir /usr/dfws/defaults for inetd.conf and services)
Can somebody help?
