SMTPXD fails receiving mail with long to:-list

Is this known bug


Customer claims that he can not receive mail from exchance that has long list of
recipients !

It is sendmail which falls over, not SMTPXD. The OLD sendmail
version in Digital UNIX uses a fixed size buffer to parse the
header fields a cannot cope with long headers.

I think your best solution is to grab public domain sendmail 
version 8.8.5 off net an use that instead. We use it in Europe
for both internal and external mail relays.
