1862.0. "background colors do NOT change?" by CSC32::J_WIELAND () Wed Mar 12 1997 15:32

    dear readers,
    
    i have a customer running alta vista fire wall V2.1 with dunix v4.0a.
    he is NOT using the cde interface, but states that his background does
    not change colors.  i was able to duplicate this situation by killing
    the alarmd deamon on my system, but when i checked with the customer,
    his alarmd deamon is the correct size, and is running just fine.
    
    i know that its the alramd deamon that changes the background colors, 
    but how does it do this and what else could we look at to trouble 
    shoot this problem?

	Have a look in firewall.conf and make sure that the colour entry dfw.setcolour=TRUE is not set to FALSE. Sarah [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

	Make sure that the mail is getting through. I had this problem before. Once the mailhub was configured properly and the mailhub was receving mail from the firewall colour changes worker properly. Andrew Stylianou
