1846.1 | AFWU V2.1 - Event raccess - how it works | LISA2::CORREIA_C | CELIA CORREIA @XIP | Mon Mar 10 1997 09:44 | 11 |
| Hi ,
I'm looking at the alarms, and trying to untherstand how it works,
I know that the events are registered in the logfiles, but I have some
dougths on which file should the event raccess be logged, and where the alarm deamon is going to
"look" to triger the action, in case of remote access to the Firewall GUI?
I have the syslog.conf well configured, I've look in the httpd configuration files and everything
(the conf. is by default). Any ideas ?
Any help is most appreciate

1846.2 | Altavista firewall v2.1. alarms | LISA2::CORREIA_C | CELIA CORREIA @XIP | Mon Mar 10 1997 10:05 | 10 |
| Hi again,
Now I tested the alarm - attemped to kill the alarmd, and that does'nt trigger
either, I trie to make a kill -9 of the alarmd form a non previleged account.
I am making a bad interpretation of the alarm ?
All the others alarms are working (except this one and the raccess).
Many thanks in advance,

1846.3 | | CHEFS::espol1.gmt.dec.com::PITT | Gone with the winsock ... | Wed Mar 12 1997 06:18 | 8 |
| I reported both these problems on the notesfile some months
ago when I ran across them. I don't remember seeing any
response.
When I get hold of the V3 FT kit(s) then I shall certainly
be testing both of these ...

the logfail works fine but the raccess no.
The same with the alarm - attemped to kill the alarmd.

| Re .3:
V3 seems to be so exciting that current problems, even those that have been
officially reported, are being ignored.
