Hi, What is the difference between the files /usr/dfws/config/*.template /usr/dfws/defaults/*.template Which version is used by the GUI when generating files, and what are the others good for? Why is /etc/gated.conf.CHK not listed in any of the /usr/dfws/files.* ? (Maybe just forgotten, because who-the-f*** ever edits gated.conf?) Thanks, Sebastian [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

Re .0: I think that gated.conf is erroneously omitted from the list of files that are checked for modifications. As for who edits it, I always do! T | |||||

Who cares about the .CHK files? Use Tripwire instead, it does a much better job. (The closest I ever get to editing gated.conf is turning off gated in /etc/rc.config.) PJDM |
