Is anyone else having problems with their unseen map on this notesfile, or is it
only me?  Almost every time that I connect it say "No new notes", but when I do
a directory listing, it says there are notes written since I last connected. 
The date is set correctly on the VAXstation from which I read notes.

Any ideas?

	OH YES! yes indeed! This is a prominant problem with the NOTED node and all the conferences there on (as far as my experience shows). This is known to the system admin for I started a dialoge with them (which ended shortly) several months back regarding a different conference, same node. Their explanation was that they upgraded the OS and this was the result. Various searches revealed that this symptom was not unique to this system or this version of the OS. The problems seam to fade away with time but the only fix ever mentioned or discussed that I have found is burdened to the user. The fix / work arround; delete your conference entry and then re-load it on your machine. I use Excursion Xterm to an NT platform and that notes interface utility. Although they occasionaly blame that I have seen similar complaint from VMS note users. Given the passing of time maybe this problem will fade on NOTED as it has on other nodes. Regards Ernest

	I've had that problem with other conferences, especially if a new copy got moved in at some point. I'd recommend doing a set seen/sinc=today (or the graphic equivalent). That will reset your unseen map (in case it got bloated somehow) and should fix the problem. (What bugs me is when I lose connection to this conference & all notes become unseen!)
