Is there a recommended VIRUS detector solution for incomming mail on
the firewall or has anybody actually got something running that they
would like to pan or applaud. The solution Iam looking at at the moment
would be an intermediate node between the firewall and the mail
server.

p.s.
it would be nice if it scanned outgoing mail as well or (very unlikely)
was resident on the firewall itself.
p.p.s. Iam talking DIGITAL UNIX firewall not WNT firewall.

Read the dozens of notes on this subject in this notesfile. There is
nothing available today on the firewall box, so you have to use
something like MimeSweeper on a separate box inside the firewall.
(The best way to look for this sort of information is to use the
AltaVista Search engine that indexes notes ...)

Mike InterScan's VirusWall will do the trick. Other than this MimeSweeper is another option. AS | |||||

Thanks Andrew I will see what they say.
Is there any issues with either or special considerations
on the firewall.
