1767.0. "NT's URL Not Server NOT EQUAL to wwwproxy.conf?" by TENNIS::KAM (AltaVista Software 714/261-4133 DTN 535.4133) Tue Feb 04 1997 22:55
Customer wants the same feature available in the AV FW for Windows NT: URL's
Not Served. When we recommended the wwwproxy.conf we got this reply. Anyone
know of a work-around for the customer?
Regards,
Subj: wwwproxy.conf
I thought of wwwproxy.conf, which I use to allow only specified users access
during business hours, using the MASK field. I saw the HTTP fail section, but
it will have the same type of restriction as I found with putting names in
the mask section ... a single line cannot exceed 2048 characters (in 3.2C
there's a bug and it only allows 1808 !!!). That is unsufficient to block out
what management wants blocked out.
Could we add to the "wish list" that the UNIX version have this nice feature
that the NT version appears to have? I'm sure mine is not the only site that
might want something like this.
Thanks for the help though.
