A customer has an intermittent problem where the mouse leaves streaks or trails across his windows. His machine is an XL266, AGPro2500 graphics, and NT 4.0. Problems have been experienced with Pro/E v17 and v18. My guess is that it's not really Pro/E specific though (so why am I here??? :). Currently, the customer reboots to fix the problem, but it can happen up to three times a day. Is this an AG2500 driver issue? Thanks, James PS - What is the best driver version for this configuration? [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

422.1 | make sure "full drag" is off? | HYDRA::DONSBACH | Jeff Donsbach, Software Partner Engineering, DTN 297-6862 | Tue Apr 29 1997 17:15 | 18 |
Best driver version qual'ed in an Alpha w/ Pro/E is 4.1.10, but 4.2.3 is available at http://www.service.digital.com. We've been testing that too and it looks clean so far, but we're not done yet. Did you make sure "Full Drag" is turned off under the desktop properties? Right click the mouse on the NT 4.0 desktop to bring up the properties window. Click the "Plus!" tab and make sure "Show window contents while dragging" is NOT checked. This sounds like the type of problem that can be caused by "full drag" being enabled. Pro/E doesn't mix with that. -Jeff D |
