| I have been breaking my reels down to the bearing level cleaning
them and getting them ready for my fishing trip this friday.
Well yesterday I took apart my Shimano Curado and Shimano Citicia
baitcasters.
What has pissed me off, is they are the same reel, down to the
springs. There is no difference between the Curado and the
Citicia except the Curado costs about $25 more. Unless I missed
something somewhere it had the same roller bearing and bearings.
Both bodies seem to be the same aluminum frame too. Other than
color and price differences, they are the same reel.
What a rip off.

| Interesting as the catalog said that the Curado has
4 stainless steel ball bearing & 1 roller and the
Citicia has only 1 stainless stell ball bearing & 1 roller
I use the Shimano Spinning reels and find that the Stardic and
Symetyre look very simular, however in years of use the Stardic
last about 2x as long without repairs.

| Yeah John I read the same thing. If you can find the extra ball
bearings in the Curado, point them out to me. I couldn't find them.
If they exist they have to be in non critical areas, because the
bearings I found were on the shaft and crank. I guess what I am saying
is there may be bearings I missed but they would have to be in places
like the handle grips or some such nonsense spot that would not affect
key things like casting or retreive.
