Questions:
I'm trying to set up a triple-boot Alphastation 255/300
with OpenVMS, Digital UNIX and NT on three separate disks.
From the AlphaStation manual it looks like I need different
firmware to boot OpenVMS/Digital UNIX (both use SRM firmware)
vs. NT which uses AlphaBIOS firmware.
My question is if there is an easier way of booting betwen
the systems than having to update the firmware each time
which involves booting the Firmware Update utility CD-ROM,
reloading the firmware, then power cycling, then rebooting.
Is there a unified version of the firmware for all three
OSes?
Thanks in advance.

OpenVMS and UNIX use the SRM firmware -- Windows NT uses AlphaBIOS.
The AlphaStation 255 does not have sufficient room in the system
module to allow both SRM and AlphaBIOS to be co-resident, thus one
cannot switch without reloading.
