Questions:

We are going to deliver a VAX system with OpenVMS 7.0.
We have fielded other systems with OpenVMS 6.2. We are
curious as to the differences between 6.2 and 7.0
especially in terms of system calls and parameters,
drivers, and networking. Any information you can
provide will be greatly appreciated. A brief synopsis
would be the best format for us. Thanks in advance.

In general, OpenVMS systems are upwards-compatible, so that if your application
works in V6.2, it will work without changes (or even relinking) in V7.0. This
excludes applications which link against the OpenVMS kernel or use
undocumented interfaces (few applications do this.)

For detailed information on changes, see the OpenVMS New Features Manual and
the OpenVMS Release Notes for V7.0.
