Some time ago I need to add a user on a the secondary node and copied the sysuaf.dat back to the main node. The problem now is that it seems that all users created since then on the main node cannot be handeled by submit/user=new_user_name file_spec Whenever I try this, I get the following error: %SUBMIT-F-CREJOB, error creating job -RMS-E-RNF, record not found What is possibly wrong ? Regards, DG.

1827.1 | A VMScluster is a Single Security Domain | XDELTA::HOFFMAN | Steve, OpenVMS Engineering | Fri May 02 1997 16:30 | 15 |
An OpenVMS VMScluster is a single security domain, with a single system authorization database, one SYSUAF, one RIGHTSLIST, etc. One should not copy SYSUAF and associated files to another node, one should define logical names to reference one set of files from both nodes. These logical names are normally defined in SYLOGICALS.COM, using a command such as DEFINE/SYSTEM/EXECUTIVE. For information on how to set up the logical names to reference a common set of files (the files that comprise a security authorization database), see the _VMScluster Systems for OpenVMS_ manual, and also see the SYS$STARTUP:SYLOGICALS.TEMPLATE. |
