1823.1 | All Alpha Systems Use VAX SID CPU Code 128 | XDELTA::HOFFMAN | Steve, OpenVMS Engineering | Tue Apr 29 1997 18:05 | 19 |
All Alpha systems return the SYI$_CPU family code value 128. For a recent list of the available hardware model codes (which is what I suspect you are looking for), please see an OpenVMS V7.1 distribution; look in the STARLET.MLB library modules ALPHADEF and VAXDEF. For the Alpha equivilent of the family code (IMPLVER and AMASK instructions -- the direct equivilent of the VAX CPU SID family code), see the C code that the URL: http://www.partner.digital.com/www-swdev/pages/Home /TECH/faqs/ovms/implver.html Other example code is available at: http://www.partner.digital.com/www-swdev/pages/Home /TECH/faqs/ovms/ovms.html |
