i have the disks:
mka100: , dva0: , dka0: , dka300: , dka400:
how do i copy a ascii file (for instance, in text format)
in a
floppy disk(formatted in DOS) to the ALPHA 400 that runs
Open-Vms ?
How do I init the DVA0: ??? (this unit is for floppy disk,
right) ?
And how to copy a file from the Alpha to this floppy disk ?
Hope you can help me out.

DVA0: is the floppy disk.
You will need to acquire a tool that allows OpenVMS to read FAT
format PC disks -- once you have this tool, the transfer can be
made easily. (A PCDISK tool is available as part of PATHWORKS;
the MadGoat PC Exchange (PCX) package is also around. For PCX,
see http://www.wku.edu/www/madgoat/pcx.html for detailed info.
Other tools are available.)
In general, network transfers are somewhat easier.
