Questions:

This question deal with a functional parity issue. Under
OpenVMS VAX, a SYSGEN audit alarm will display the SYSGEN
parameter that has been changed as well as, its previous
and current values assigned to the parameter. This same
audit alarm generated under OpenVMS Alpha does not main-
tain this information. I have been asked to augment the
OpenVMS Alpha audit facility to add this capability. My
response is that this is NOT a simple task and the ever
changing landscape of OpenVMS Alpha makes this difficult
in that parameters are being added, retired, or obsolete.
(eg. VIRTUALPAGECNT)

Why does the OpenVMS Alpha SYSGEN audit alarm NOT maintain
the modified parameter information maintained by OpenVMS
VAX SYSGEN audit alarms? Can a special SYSGEN utility be
made available which will generate alarms with modified
parameter information?

An expedient response would be graciously appreciated.
