Email Address: [email protected]
CPU Architecture: Alpha
Version: v 6.2
Questions:
Alpha can't print to a HP Laserjet 4, JetDirect card.
The card is configured correctly because other hosts can
print to it successfully. Other hosts can also connect
to the Alpha. All hosts are in the same subnet. I can
ping and telnet to the Jetdirect card.
The queue is setup using the /process=UCX$TELNETSYM.
Using the socket 9100
But on sending a print to the queue it appears to print
but nothing appears on the printer.
The IP address is unique, on switching the printer off
the IP address is not reachable.
The UCX$TELNET log files show connection refused, what
should I do, because other hosts can print to it.
Many thanks
Paul Clark.

Determine what the configuration characteristics of the JetDirect
card are, and what sort of access control is available and enabled
on the card.
Also consider an upgrade to the current UCX version and ECO, if
you are not already running this, and assuming you are licensed
for this upgrade.
