In general, the information on previous versions is not presently available, as DIGITAL has been characterizing compliance of specific current (and/or future) product versions as a priority. Information, any necessary year-2000 patches, and year-2000 support for older versions may or may not be available in the future. The wizard strongly encourages upgrades to more current OpenVMS and layered product releases -- OpenVMS VAX V7.1 is the current OpenVMS release. (V5.5-2 is supported only with a "prior version" support contract.) As has been recommended elsewhere, depending (solely) on the vendor compliance statements is not a reliable solution -- one needs to test the entire local configuration for year-2000 compliance regardless of the compliance statements, per the year-2000 OpenVMS testing procedures found at DIGITAL's http://www.openvms.digital.com website. | |||||
