The steps needed for bootstrapping and performing an OpenVMS VAX standalone backup are covered in the _OpenVMS VAX Upgrade and Installation Manual_. OpenVMS Alpha, as of V6.1, does not use nor support the standalone BACKUP environment, having replaced it with a bootable CD-ROM OpenVMS environment. The documentation on this environment is in the _OpenVMS Alpha Upgrade and Installation Manual_. The procedures for creating a non-shadowed system disk are covered in the _Volume Shadowing for OpenVMS_ manual. (This manual is referenced by the "upgrade" chapters of the above manuals.) | |||||
