Questions:
Hi,
I have MicroVAX 4500 running VAX/VMS v5.5. The systems disks are connected to a BA440 cabinet.
The disks are 'single' member DSSI shadow sets.
The system hung after a message, similar to the following. was displayed on the console :
Shadow set state has changed. Volume processing in progress.
We had to halt the system and reboot then all was fine.
Can you please let me know :
1. What situations or events can cause this.
2. What troubleshooting/prevention steps can be taken.
Many thnks,

1656.1 | Acquire Patches, Consider OpenVMS Upgrade | XDELTA::HOFFMAN | Steve, OpenVMS Engineering | Fri Mar 14 1997 17:00 | 7 |
|
Please acquire the current shadowing patches for this release from
DIGITAL's web site, and please consider upgrading to OpenVMS VAX V6.2
or (current) V7.1, to take advantage of new support available for these
releases. (V6.2 requires the installation of the V7.1 compatibility kit,
or a subsequent kit, for this support.)
