Background: we have a few Alphas with an integrated 10Base network controller and an ad- ditional FDDI adapter. For LAT there is a logical to define the preferred controller. What can i do for DECnet, TCPIP and SCS. Is there any easy way like LAT (any logical or so)? TIA and regards R. Wingert

Please check the documentation associated with the particular package. Under DECnet, one can use circuit "cost". Under SCS, see the "bus" and "prefer" tools in SYS$EXAMPLES:. For IP, see the local routing control. Other methods are available on a protocol- and package-specific basis. In most cases, one usually wants all paths enabled and operating. |
