Questions:
Currently we are using Info-zip version 1.0 at my workplace,
its performance has proven to be slower than we would like
since we are now compressing very large files (20,000 blocks).
What is the fastest zip utility out there? One caveat,
it must be compatible with Pkware PKZIP/PKUNZIP on the PC
which Info-zip was. I have sent email to PKware concerning
their product but was hopefully if there may be something
faster out there.
Thx,
Lap

The version of the INFO-ZIP utilities as provided on the OpenVMS Freeware CD
is 2.0 from 1993. This is the only implementation we are aware of.
