CPU Architecture: Alpha
Version: v 6.2
Questions:

Are there any known sort problems with 6.2?

I have an application that sorts okay (numeric sort) on my development box (6.1), but does not work on the production (6.2) version.

It only has trouble with numeric sorts.

The application is PRAXA.

Thanks,

Ted

1635.1Software Support Will Require Additional InfoXDELTA::HOFFMANSteve, OpenVMS EngineeringThu Feb 27 1997 14:5813
   There are many reasons for a failure, ranging from a bug in SORT
   to an application error to a quota problem. You should attempt to
   localize the cause of the failure, or at least the code that can
   provoke the error. And having any applicable error messages, and
   a standalone example of the failure that can be used to duplicate
   the problem, can greatly speed the resolution of the problem.

   There are a number of enhancements in SORT/MERGE for V6.2.

   Once you have gathered additional information on the failure, please
   contact your software support organization directly.
