This workstations would be connected to 2 StorageWorks BA356 by 2 different busses (1 StorageWorks by buss). We need also differential SCSI because the length of the cables and Wide SCSI for the transfer rate. So, we need 2 controllers per workstation, KZPSA- and 1 DWIZZB-VW per Storage. It seems that for moment the KZPSA are not supported for VMS cluster nether KZPDA- (with DWZZB-AA). Can you tell me what "not supported" means and if they will be supported in the future and when. We already have both the alphastation 600 5/266(last year),all the other hardware has to be ordered for mid March. Thanks Leonardo Fedullo

Please see the VMScluster Software Product Description (SPD) for information on the supported configuration(s), and when looking at a VMScluster with a SCSI interconnect, see the VMScluster SPD for V6.2-1H3, or for V7.1 or later. The phrase `not supported' indicates DIGITAL does not offer any product support for any problems that might be found in a the particular configuration -- and in general, DIGITAL indicates what `is supported', not what is `not supported'. If a particular configuration `is supported', and a problem is found, DIGITAL will work to resolve the underlying problem(s). The applicable SPDs are the the documents that contain the formal statement of support. The Wizard is not in a position to discuss `futures'. |
