The statement to me was that version 7.0 due out late in 1996 or early 1997 would correct these problems. My question: I would like to know the specific routines which have a problem with year 2000. This will allow us to evaluate it's impact to our applications and determine if we need to upgrade.

:I was informed by local Digital Rep. that there is a known problem with :some VMS system level routines relating to the year 2000 rollover. The :statement to me was that version 7.0 due out late in 1996 or early 1997 :would correct these problems. : :My question: :I would like to know the specific routines which have a problem with year :2000. This will allow us to evaluate it's impact to our applications and :determine if we need to upgrade. Please see the `Year 2000' information available at DIGITAL's web site for the official statement, and for the latest information on this topic. And see previous `Wizards' questions. Also see the OpenVMS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) posting. As is mentioned in the official statement, each site must test local software and the local configuration -- information received from each vendor of software in use at the local site is just part of the puzzle, one *must* specifically test the local configuration of local and purchased software for correct operation. OpenVMS V7.1 is the current release. |
