Questions:

What would be your recommendation for a site wanting
to upgrade a VAX/VMS system? Considerations include:
Interactions with Novell Netware, use of CC:Mail, use of
Microsoft Office on Windows clients, and continued use
of prior applications in use of the old system. cost is also
a consideration.

1599.1Insufficient Information For Meaningful ResponseXDELTA::HOFFMANSteve, OpenVMS EngineeringFri Feb 14 1997 16:5010
   It is difficult to answer this question without knowing the current
   VAX processor, without knowing the current performance bottlenecks
   (disk, processor, and/or memory, etc), and without knowing more about
   the longer-term plans and goals of the organization.

   An assortment of VAX to VAX and VAX to Alpha upgrades are available,
   see the Digital Systems and Options Catalog, as well as DECdirect,
   for information.
