Questions:
I recently upgraded UCX (TCP/IP Services for OPEN VMS) on
my system to V 4.1
Since this we have had a problem where our printer
queues keep stalling. These are remote printers
connected to Gandalf GTS1000 terminal servers (very
similiar to DEC Servers). I have set up the ports,
servers and queues according to DEC support and have
installed the newest Telnet symbiont. We still have
no luck. What happens is you send your first job
to print and it prints but when the queue hits the
second job it will stall and give an error. We then
do a stop/que/reset and hope the next job will print.
Sometimes jobs print in the middle of another job and
sometimes the full job will not print.
Any help at all would be appreciated. This problem
has existed for almost 2 weeks now and we are desparate.
I have been dealing with Mike with the network group at
the support center. Also I have been dealing with
Gandalf and they are still working on it.
Thanks, Thanks, Thanks

1585.1 | Ask Support to "Elevate" This Call | XDELTA::HOFFMAN | Steve, OpenVMS Engineering | Tue Feb 11 1997 15:40 | 3 |
|
Please ask that this call be "elevated".
Consider replacing the Gandalf with a DECserver, and using LAT.
