I am not sure which version of vms we have

i want a script that
will
do
$show users
then pass the usernames from this command
to the who (username) command
and finally show the list of users along
with their full names all in one big list

Assuming the system manager has included the full name of the user
in SYSUAF.DAT, the tool to retrieve this information would require
enhanced privileges, or it would require the system manager `vet'
it, and install it with privileges. For further information, see
the sys$getuai system service. There is no DCL-level access to this
   particular system service.

For a program that accesses this service from C, see the DWAUTH tool
on the Freeware CD-ROM. (The OpenVMS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
monthly posting contains pointers to the freeware CD-ROM, if it is not
   available locally.)

FINGER is available in recent Digital TCP/IP Services releases.
