There is no support for the Exabyte EXB-8200 drive from Digital.

You will need to contact Exabyte support for the latest version of
firmware for the EXB-8200, and you will need to contact the Digital
Customer Support Center for an as-yet-unreleased patch for MKDRIVER
that is presently being tested. (Some problems were recently found
with operations with older third-party SCSI-1 tape drives.)

I would recommend moving to a newer tape drive, as the EXB-8200 is
an old and slow and narrow SCSI-1 device, and per comments I have
received from other customers, is no longer being actively supported
   by Exabyte.

I'd recommend a TLZ (DAT/DDS) or TZK (DLT) series tape drive. Digital
also now offers 8mm drives, if you need to continue to provide access
to an existing 8mm tape library.
