Questions:

In attempting to setup a network of computer systems in many different states we are attempting to use ftp for data exchange. These are all VAX or Alpha machines runing VMS. Some have Multinet, some UCX. My problem is that systems using passive FTP can
log on but cannot move files. Their local node is refusing the connection. If active mode is used the files will transfer. It appears that my alpha running TCP/IP version 3.3 is not set to allow passive ftp. There is no documentation that refers to e
ither an active or passive mode. Will DEC
TCP/IP (UCX) allow for passive ftp, and if so how is it enabled?
