:1) How do I setup an OpenVMS machine so that it be part of a Microsoft : WindowsNT network? I want to be able to access NT machines from the : OpenVMS station and vice versa. Both platforms can operate over IP. Pathworks is also available. : a) What PAKs do I need to do this? Depends on the products. : b) What software do I need on the Windows95/NT machines to do this? Little or none. :2) Are there any Intel emulators for OpenVMS? Yes, see the Win/32 API for OpenVMS. Also see the SoftWindows/SoftPC package for binaries. :3) What C++ development tools are available for OpenVMS? DEC C++. :Which tool would be the best for a programmer who is currently :using Microsoft Visual C++? `Best' is subjective. C++ code created by VCC+ can often be ported and run under OpenVMS, assuming the programmer has not used various Microsoft extensions. |
